Eagle Liner Bus Trip - Horrible Experience

My boyfriend and I travelled from Gqeberha to Cape Town on the 28th of December 2023. The service experienced was terrible. They do not tag your bags nor do they check tickets when you get on the bus. There was also not enough space for everyone who climbed on meaning they severely overbooked the bus.

The back section of the bus was cornered off with a towel but when my boyfriend and I got on, there were no seats together so we had to take the towel down and sit in the second-last row. These seats were above the engine of the bus and the area was extremely hot. The aircons were also not working so it felt like we were sitting in a sauna for the full 12 hour trip. This was not told to us when we got on.

The bus is also extremely unhygienic. The seats are dirty, the windows are filthy and there is ******* stuffed in every crevasse of the bus. The buses are clearly never cleaned.

The worst part however was that there were ****roaches crawling around every surface, from the ceiling to the windowsill right next to me. My boyfriend was swatting ****roaches away all night and when I turned my torch on during the night the radiator was PACKED with roaches right next to my feet.

I am very disappointed and will never in my life set foot on an Eagle Liner bus again. The company clearly has no interest in providing a dignified trip for its passengers. If I could rate no stars I would.
