Bad service with terrible drivers

Initially, the customer service on this bus service was good, however, there has been a noticeable decline in standards. It now appears that there is a lack of training and discipline. Even when a formal complaint is lodged, there is no response or corrective action taken. This issue is not limited to drivers only. It gives the impression that even the owners are not concerned, as long as revenue is generated, despite the poor service. Drivers conduct themselves as if they are transporting cargo rather than people, showing little to no respect for passengers.

Lost luggage

Lost luggage and poor follow-up by Eagle Liner I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Eagle Liner during my trip from Johannesburg to Durban on the 23 September 2026. Upon arriving in Durban, I discovered that my luggage was missing.i immediately reported the matter to Eagle Liner staff and was assisted by a consultant. The consultant assured me that an SMS would be sent to all the passengers who travelled on the bus to help locate my luggage. However, after following up with my family members who travelled on the same bus, I confirmed that none of them received any SMS from Eagle Liner. This suggests that promised action was never take. The loss of my luggage has caused me great inconvenience and frustration. What is even more disappointing is the lack of communication and follow-through from the company regarding my complaint

⭐ 1/5 This is honestly a terrible experience. The bus is filthy, with food crumbs all over the seats. The seats are also extremely uncomfortable and do not recline or adjust at all, making it difficult to sit comfortably during the journey. For passengers who have to sit on a bus for hours, cleanliness and basic comfort should be a minimum requirement. This is very disappointing, and I definitely would not recommend Eagleliner based on this experience.

Non alcoholic beverages confiscated

Travelling to Eastern Cape and the start of the experience has already been horrible! I had my redbulls and they took them because apparently alcohol is not allowed. For goodness sake. Redbull!!!

Not the service promised

The bus arrived on time, But it was not the bus we were promised. We received a Stabus, there was no explanation of why we had to get on that specific bus instead of the actual liner that we had booked. The stuff threatened that if we didnt get on the bus we wouldnt get another bus and we wouldnt even receive our refunds. The bus was dirty, it had a really bad smell. it was stuff because it didnt have any air-conditioning and the seats were as hard as stone and was completely uncomformtable for the 7hr journey. The bus driver was hostile. We couldnt even charge our phones. No explanation just threats. Horrible service on the day.

Awful service ever

I bought Eagle liner bus ticket for my son online. From Idutwa to Cape Town. The bus did not stop @ Idutyuwa. I went to their office @ Bellville and the lady @ the office told me there is nothing they can do I must call the head office. I called them and they informed me that they can only rebook the bus for Monday and today is Saturday. And still my son must go get the bus either @ Mthatha or Butterworth. I asked for a refund she told me it will take from 20-30 days. Ow masana nindenza naaaaaar. Your service is awful shame.

Eagle liner drove off before schedule and did not give Refund.

I hade a terrible experience with Eagle Liner. I bought a ticket for 670 rand to go see my friends in Midrand from Paarl. I bought my ticket on BusBucs as a student . I payed everything I had. I was about 20 min early and when I arrived they told me the bus bus just drove away. I panicked and talked to upcoming Eagle Liner bus drivers, they all told me the bus is still coming don't worry dont worry dont stress, I sat at the garage for 3 hours in stress got the support team on call then they told me even tho its not my fault and they drove before schedule they cant give refund. I started crying and then they told me ask my friends to help me buy a new ticket after I told them i spend everything I had. Now Im not able to see my friends and I already bought a return plane ticket when I booked the bus, seems like they are not reliable.
