Dangerous and aggressive driving by Eagle Liner bus driver.

From Mr DJ van Vuuren, Pietermaritzburg, cell no. ***. Email ***

While travelling by road from Jhb. to Pietermaritzburg on Sunday 22nd September 2019 we were going down Van Reenen’s pass, the time was 12.30 pm. The road is divided into two lanes one for heavy vehicles and the other for cars. The road is specifically marked trucks and cars. The speed limit for cars is 90 km per hour. We were approaching a slow moving truck and were almost in line with the rear of the truck when loud hooting was heard alongside and to the left side of our car. It was a Eagle Liner bus. The driver of the bus was hooting and swerving the bus towards our car trying to force us into the oncoming traffic lane. We accelerated and passed the truck. The bus then moved into the car lane and speeded up to the rear of our car. We moved into the truck lane to allow the bus to pass. As the bus was passing and was still alongside our car the driver was moving the bus closer and closer to our car attempting to force our car off the road. The bus was now occupying half of the truck lane while still travelling alongside our car. This forced our car very close to the verge of the road. The bus driver then moved back into the car lane and accelerated down the hill. This was deliberate and dangerous driving by the bus driver. I believe the bus driver was deliberately trying to force us off the road. The bus registration is H348TJGP Eagle Liner
