Bad customer care in an Eagleliner bus
I am currently on an Eagleliner from Johannesburg to Durban. As we entered Pietermaritzburg the driver turned music on very loudly. This is just after 3 in the morning and most customers are asleep. Whilst I realise that his intention was probably to alert customers who have to alight that it's time for them to be up, most of the passengers are going as far as Durban. I very politely asked the. driver to turn the volume down. He very rudely informed me that I am the only one complaining. I asked him again to turn the volume down and his reply was that I should ask the other people if the music is bothering them as I am the only customer complaining. I find his attitude unacceptable and request that he be reprimanded. He seems not to have had training in customer care. We have now left Pietermaritzburg. It is 3.55 and he still has the music on. I have used most bus services in South Africa and abroad and this is the very first time that I've been so rudely awakened. I believe that Eagleliner must compensate me for this unnecessary bad attitude and rudeness to me. I am a paying customer. The bus driver is not transporting me to Durban out of the goodness of his heart. This is his employment. I am really disturbed by this behaviour and the fact that he still has the music on shows his total disregard for the passengers.
