sold me broken car

My friend bought a black audi a3 from eae motors vereeniging..an 3weeks later it broke down. They are telling him they cant fix it because it was a cash deal and the vehicle has no warranty. They just sold him a broken car for 120 000. And i just read up the consumer protection act witch states otherwise...this is a very ************* dealership. A bunch of ******
