Lack of availability at resorts
I have been one of your customers for plus minus two decades. It has been my experience over the past few years that Resorts are not available as they are fully booked out. My question is, Are these units been booked out to your customers via your reservations or is the practice of customers renting out their timeshare still continuing, or is preferential treatment being given to non- time share cash paying customers during peak times and DVC customers being used to ensure that units are filled during the off peak season so you do not run at a loss, and finally that you work on a tier system and DVC customers are serviced according to their status regardless of the length of their association/ loyalty to your organisation. Why is it that we can never get bookings at the more popular resorts and why is it that the unpopular resorts with no worthwhile facilities are consistently promoted. In addition why are Consultants continually swopped. This does not allow for a meaningful relationships to be built and understanding of your customer individual portfolios. The only time we hear from them is when they want you want to increase our subscriptions. You will appreciate if the shoe was on the other foot then you would expect return on investment ie. monthly subscriptions should result in peace of mind and ease when one wishes to take a break. One should not have to consistently readjust your plans due to preferred resorts never being available and/ or fork out cash for alternative non DVC resorts as the product you have purchased almost never delivers on its promise. Here again I will not accept having to book more than 3 months in advance. I addressed the same complaint almost 10 years ago Weston ****son to which I have yet to receive a response. You will agree that this defeats the purpose of having time share if I as a "share holder" cannot get accommodation. This situation is not ideal and I unlike before I am at a point where I want resolution as I will no longer accept paying for something that does not benefit me as promised particularly when DVC threaten the loss of points following their lack of available accommodation at resorts. This to me is unfair practice as the points where not used due to DVC short comings. Naturally if I do not receive a satisfactory response within the next 24 hours then you leave me no alternative but to involve the TISA / FEDHASA and/or other prevailing industry Ombud/ bodies.
