Failure to sell points and cancel membership
I joined DVC 5 years ago and hit a bad patch.... I queried on cancelling my membership and was told that i had to pay off my loan account in order to cancel, having done that i was then told it would take 9 months in order to get a buyer in which i still had to continue paying the subscription fee.... 5 months had past and i was then told that i was liable for the next years subscription fee which will then be deducted of the sale amount. I then queried if could sell my points for the extra years subscription that i had to pay for and haven't got a response ever since. i feel that this is a money making scheme and should be investigated. I do not advise anyone on taking a membership with Dream Vacation as it has been a nightmare in my personal experience in dealing with them!!!!
We have received original re sale documents on 25 August 2014 and as you have correctly stated in another 4 months the sale will be finalised.The subscription fee must then be paid until the finalisation. The matter relating to the selling of accumulated points, we do apologise for the non response - it is not possible to sell these points and we encourage members to utilise the points before the re-sale is finalised. We notice that you have not made use of any points since inception and would recommend you do so, as it will certainly change your perception of the club.
