cancellation of membership

we as a family decided to go on a outing on the 27/12/14 @ Avalon Springs. A person approached us and asked if we would be interested in a vacation club, so we went. When we got there, the whole conversation was about the nice places they have and the points, nothing were said about the cancellation policy as well as the fact that you cannot cancel your membership in the near future. I feel we were bul**** into this because not all information were given, and they assumed we will take it, the person even influenced my boyfriend at the time to take a bigger packet by telling a soppy story and excluding me in this matter. my husband now, lost his job and our financial status is not good at the moment, i thus asked them if its possible to cancel this membership since we cannot afford it and we dont want debt we cannot pay. they said we need to come see them to work something out, point is we cannot afford it and they dont understand, they threaten us with blacklisting. we haven't used any of their point and we paid a deposit of R5700 aswell as admin fees of R825. we would like to cancel this, and they should tell people upfront that this is a life long contract. we are dissapointed.
