Poor communication and after sales

Our geyser was leaking slightly, so they replaced it, but little did I know they replaced it with a lower pressure geyser. To make matters worse, they installed a lower pressure valve at the main water supply to the property without informing me either. So now the pressure to the other geyser at the back of the house is almost non existent. When I followed up, I basically got a response saying sorry this brand doesn’t do 100l ****pa geysers. And when asking why they didn’t use another brand they didn’t give a definitive answer. They also said a solution would be to move the main pressure valve closer to the new geyser but then it won’t be in regulation, shocking that they’d recommend that knowing it’s not right. After going back and forth they still haven’t owned up that not informing me was wrong. I would've stopped the install if I knew they were going to ruin the pressure to the rest of the property.

Hi Anthony, unfortunately your insurance company only replaces like for like i.e. Kwikot for Kwikot. We were unable to find the ****pa pressure valve at plumblink as they said Kwikot does not manufacture a ****pa valve   anymore. We installed 400 kpa valve for you, which was our only option in order to make the installation compliant in terms of SANS. We tried our absolute best to find a solution for you with your insurance. If we installed a ****pa valve your insurance would have held us completely liable if anything had to go wrong. Please understand that your insurance company provides us with geyser cylinder and valve and it was not supp**** by ourselves. We then please asked you to take this issue up with your insurance as you are their client and we had tried everything we could.

That all makes sense, but the problem lies in the lack of communicating that the main pressure would be reduced, rendering half the properties water pressure way below what it should be. If it was communicated at all before installation I would have even suggested me contributing extra to maintain the 600 kpa pressure. Instead I now need to figure out a way to fix this, since there was no solution provided.
