Overcharge. ***********.

Never, ever use Drain Surgeon. I used them because they're supposedly an emergency plumber. I have no problem in paying more in an emergency, but they arrived without lighting to work at night, so they had to come back the next day. At that stage one could theoretically call the plumber one usually uses, but you can't be sure that they will be able to come the next day and, given it's an emergency, I decided to stay with Drain Surgeon. DS knows this. They then not only overcharge you for the repair, but also for the ancillary work, around the repair. To add insult to injury, after they left there were leaks inbetween the two areas they fixed. Of course, that's not their fault, so they overcharge you to fix that as well. It's a great business model - They know most emergencies will be insurance claims, so they can overcharge and under-deliver. Then, just for fun, they have 2-3 different staff members following up to ask if you're happy with their service, and another 2-3 following up on the invoice. The flaw with this model is that whereas in the past, poor service got communicated to 9-12 people, in today's world it gets around way, way faster.
