Empty promises in anonymity + failure to arrive
Due to previous incompetence, I was offered a R300 discount to use Drain Surgeon again. Having never faulted the workmanship of their plumbers I tried them again. No one knew anything about the discount and as the PR person remained anonymous, I couldn't say who made this promise. What's the point of a computer system if you can't even record such information? Speaking to Mary, Sydney (accountant) and Lee-anne, it seemed eventually, that all was organised and they would come that same day. I waited all afternoon... lo and behold, ONCE AGAIN, no one arrived. They pitched the following day, unannounced, and surprise, surprise, knew nothing of the discount. So this time I was not only let down and lost half a day sitting around waiting, but now I feel **********. The worst part of it all is that someone is making a very healthy living out of such incompetence, if I ran my business in this manner I would have been out of business a long time ago. Where is it written that if you are in the construction industry you have a licence to such hopelessness? Well done Drain Surgeon, NOT EVEN REMOTELY a proudly South African company. What a pity as the workmanship was once again exemplary.
The Drain Surgeon Head Office would like to acknowledge the above incident and will be investigating shortly.
Unfortunately our plumbers do not have access to our CRM system where information like the discount voucher would have been available - this information would typically only be available to our account department as this is their department.
I feel it is unfair of yourself to accuse us of not honoring your discount voucher when all it would have taken is one telephone call or a note on the plumbers invoice or a returned email and we would have rectified it immediately.
Thank you for your business and paying cash on the respective day, please send your banking details to *** and we will refund you the R 300 immediately.
