Anode removed from new geyser
I am disappointed with the plumbing service given by Drain Surgeon Pretoria.
Drain Surgeon removed one of the new anodes on the new Kwikot geyser to connect a ho****er supply from my solar tube, the anode was not mounted again but rather taken away by Drain Surgeon. I checked with the supplier of the geyser (Kwikot) and I am advised that the removal of the anode nullifies the warranty on the geyser.
I raised my concern with Drain Surgeon, a service manager then visited me and understood my concern on the geyser warranty, he also arranged for the removed anode to be returned to me. The service manager later advised that this was normal for the anode to be removed, and I did not agree with him. He said he will discuss that matter with his manager and get back to me.
I received a call from someone who claimed to be from Kwikot, he advised me that the removal of one anode was quite in order. I asked this person to send his advice to me in writing. My e-mail address and a photo of the anode was sent to this person, however his e-mail has not yet been received.
Another manager at Drain surgeon sent me an e-mail (copying the above Kwikot representative) advising that the above person had contacted me, and a letter will be drawn out and sent to me confirming the discussion. I asked that the written correspondence comes from Kwikot and not Drain Surgeon. My e-mail copied to the Kwikot representative showed that his e-mail address was invalid.
Names are not being mentioned in this concern of mine, as I do not wish to embarrass any individual as I strongly believe that Drain Surgeon owes me an apology and a correction of this improper removal of the geyser anode.
I shall look for an ombudsman for further assistance.
