Worst car rental experience ever

We had the worst experience renting a car from Thrifty. In a ******** act, our rental car was thrown with a rock while travelling on the N7 in CPT. We are lucky that we were not injured - very lucky! The emergency number for Thrifty was offline that evening, we offered up most of our Saturday to travel to police stations to get the necessary paperwork in order to help Thrifty get everything in place for the insurance..... They did not once explain to us that they DO NOT have cover for incidences like this, they did not once phone us to explain procedures - we were the ones following up the whole time trying to figure out what is going on.....and then Thrifty charges us (the victims of a ******** act) the full amount of the damages?? I am appaled by Thrifty...to say the least
