Waiting for holding deposit 30 days after returning vehicle

The vehicle was returned to Thrifty Car Rentals on 13 December 2021, a month ago and I am still waiting for my holding deposit to be released. I was told that this process would take 14 working days, we are beyond that point . I have been calling their offices, sending emails, but they are not bothered. On Friday when I called, I was told that an email would be sent to the branch manager to release the funds, then it would take another 7 working days to receive my money. Then I get a call on Monday from Trudie, who says that is not the case, I just need to complete the banking details on my booking form, then she would arrange for someone from another department to process my payment. Everyone has a different story about the refund and they are all sincerely sorry and will call back with feedback. R4000 is a lot of my money. They are very happy to process the payment when you book the vehicle, but you must be prepared to be sent from pillar to post, make a lot of calls, send emails that will not be responded to with this company. They don't care about the customer and are guaranteed that I will not use their services in future
