Unlicensed Vehicle Rented Out at Cape Town Office(Airport)

My husband hired a Hyundia I10 which he received yesterday from the Cape Town rental office. Today he was stopped just outside of Queenstown on route to Tarkastad around 16h38. Turns out the vehicle is unlicensed; and he then got a traffic fine to the value of R3000. He then called *** to inform them, a guy called Warren picked up and was rude and just sais to my husband..."Why dont you just bring back the car to Cape Town office" Thrifty failed to licence the vehicle and rented it out knowing well that the car was unlicensed We are returning the car back to the Cape Town office tomorrow and i would like to know how Thrifty will pay for the ticket as the fault is with Thrifty and not my husband
