Thrifty will hold onto your deposit for a month after the vehicle is returned.
Do not rent from Dollar Thrifty unless you are prepared to have your deposit locked (or held) for a month (21 WORKING DAYS) after you return the vehicle. This is noted in the FAQs on the website if you search for it... but you will only find out about this when your money is not released/returned as expected.

02 Nov 2021, 17:02It has been a month since I returned the vehicle, and I still have a "hold" on the R6000 deposit on my card. My complaint on the Thrifty online complaints helpdesk was closed 12 days later without any resolution.
