Thrifty does not return deposits, despite several emails.

I returned my Thrifty rental on the morning of 2 August, and am still waiting for my deposit to be returned to me. Today is the 16th of September. I have written several email to various people at Thrifty, and when they reply, I'm told that it is in the process of being released... Someone is lying, as I spoke to my bank.. First, the deposit has deducted from my credit card account (not only been RESERVED, as claimed by Thrifty), and secondly, I have been told that it would be returned to my account since the start of September - and it has still not been paid into my account. I am SO tired of this. Unfortunately it is not the only problem I experienced with Thrifty this time around. This is, however, the biggest one. I am paying bank charges because of my account that is in arrears - due to me having to wait for Thrifty to give me back my deposit. Can it REALLY take this long? I don't think so - someone somewhere is not doing his / her job. I don't know what else to do about this, except write this review - be warned.
