Thrifty debits your CC without your permission!!! Be Careful!!!!

I am thoroughly disappointed and frustrated with Thrifty. Every year we hire a bakkie from them to take to the Kruger for a good ten days or more and they gave us a dud the last year we could go (2019), that when you turned it sounded like the chassis was falling out. I told them when I returned it and they said I should have told them, they would have sent me another one. This last year (2021) we again used them and were given a merc with a ***** back 'window' that the guy said did not always lock properly - but with a good 'slam' would close. Once we were in the park for a good week, the back window started to give us trouble. It would either be locked fast without us being able to open it - except with a real struggle or it would not close and we were worried our luggage was at risk. We then made the decision to phone and ask for a replacement because their vehicle was faulty - of which I was warned about to begin with. I was given another bakkie - no problem, except they decided to give me one with a 3/4 tank and then billed me for filling up the one they took from me - the faulty merc. I know their policy is to fill up and bill the hiree for the petrol but their car was faulty by their own admission and I am paying at every corner - they are not taking responsibility for anything. I contacted them to query this bill - and the ticket was closed two months later with no response from them. Then I asked them why and they reopened it and claimed that the Merc was in perfect working order. I am obviously not an idiot, not is my son - so please do not describe me as one - as why would I want a new bakkie in the middle of my holiday if there was nothing wrong with it to begin with... I am just warning all the people out there about this company - no wonder they are thrifty - they ***** and debit money off your account for no reason - and so can be the cheapest in town - what a ******* you really are. Please be careful when dealing with them. They are ************* and could not care less about their regular customer - who spend their hard earned money there and then thy just take more. Do not trust them with your credit card details!!!!!!!
