Terrible service received, stay away from this company. (-1)

If there was a rating lesser than terrible, then this company would defintely get it. Stay away from this company, especially the Randburg branch.

My ordeal began on the 31/07/2021 when I decided to rent a vehicle from the Randburg Branch, the gentleman that assisted me captured my details on the system incorrectly, i.e. he captured my first and last name incorrectly, making it very difficult for my next rental as the consultant could not find me on the system. The vehicle that I rented was not ready for collection I had to wait another 30 minutes for the staff to wash and clean the vehicle causing me unnecessary inconvenience. Having taken delivery of the vehicle I then proceeded to begin my day. I had travelled a total of 148 km's in one day and on the 01/08/2021 I returned the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, receipt attached to the returns invoice, to the OR Tambo branch, as I had a flight to catch on the 01st of August.

Having thought that this was a simple car rental, everything would have been done and dusted. On the 7th of August 2021 I received an invoice in the amount of R235.19 for a fuel charge, the reason on the invoice was "VEHICLE SHOWED 8/8 BUT 12.13 LITRES WAS FILLED DUE TO FILLING TILL THE BRIM" I then immediately thought this to be very strange, how would one fill an addtional 12.13 litres into a tank that was full already...? I then queried the invoice with a consultant from their customer care department "Marlene" she assured me that she would look into the matter and get back to me. To date I have not received any written communication from her with regards to same. Its now 17 days later and I still have not received my original refund from my rental in the amount of R4000, and the query for the additional amount of fuel filled has vanished. R235.19.

I have used many car rental companies over the past 20 years or so, e.g. Avis, Europcar, Woodford, Hertz, fIRST, Budget, etc and I can honestly say that I have never experienced an issue such as this.

This has to be the worst car rental company that I have ever used.
