Terrible service - do not use this company

Thrifty car rental blocked a substantial amount on my card for a car I hired in Cape Town more than 2 weeks ago. After 9 working days the block on my card has still not been lifted. I was assured at the time of rental that the block would be lifted after 5 working days. When I called the number provided I was informed that it is 7 working days. I called again on day 7 and was given another number to call - head office said I needed to contact the Cape Town branch. The Cape Town helpdesk assured me that the block would be lifted on Tuesday 15 October. We are now on working day 9 and the block is yet to be lifted. When I called Cape Town this morning I was told they no longer deal with refunds and needed to contact head office. The lady who took my call at head office assured me that she would give a message to the call centre and that someone would get back to me today. It is now almost 17:00 and still not call - the block is still not lifted.

This is absolutely terrible service and the entire matter has been dealt with very inefficiently and unprofessionally - do not use this company!! I certainly never will again.
