Stranded with Broken Car

<p>Mid July 2016 we drove down with a Nissan XTrail (if I remember correctly) from JHB to Victoria West, Northern Cape to visit family for the weekend.</p> <p>Half way between Wolmaranstad and Bloemhof, the car broke down - something seemed to be wrong with the clutch. When reporting the matter and requesting a new car to continue our trip, we were told that the nearest Thrifty branch was in Bloemfontein. The lady said that it would take about 3 hours for them to get to us (although Bloemfontein is only 2 hours away from where we were stranded).</p> <p>To our disappointment and a few phone calls later, it took them no less than 4 hours to get to us with another car (Nissan Qashqai).</p> <p>This was the first time we used Thifty and surely will not use them again as we do not want to be stranded "in the middle of nowhere" again.</p> <p> </p>
