STAY AWAY FROM THRIFTY CAR RENTAL - THEY HAVE SEEMINGLY GONE INTO LIQUIDATION

I rented a car on 15/9/2021 from the Thrifty offices at OR Tambo airport on contract ***9. Everything was prepaid and I returned the car with a full tank of petrol, undamaged on 16/9/2021 to the ORT offices. The attendant who received the car back, acknowledged my proof that I re-filled the petrol tank at the gas station at ORT and he made a copy of the petrol receipt as proof of this fact. On 23/9/2021 I received an unauthorized debit against my Credit Card from Thrifty for R104.48 - without any information as to what this amount was for etc. Their website now does not function at all for complaints & queries PLUS none of their telephone numbers from their Thrifty website function anymore.... This company has probably gone bankrupt and I am at risk to lose my deposit which they have not given back since 16/9/2021. STAY AWAY FROM THRIFTY CAR RENTAL SOUTH AFRICA
