Shoes left in car mysteriously “not found”

I use Thrifty whenever I travel and have just opened an account at work for corporate travel. Im thinking about changing both after my experience at the King Shaka branch. I hired a car from 21 April - 2 May. My son left his black Nike tackles under the driver seat. They were a Christmas gift and he doesn’t have any other tackles. I called the branch and spoke to Cassandra. She didn’t sound hopeful that “they would be found” but promised to call back to same day after “checking the safe”.

She didn’t revert as promised so I called again the following day. Cassandra told me the shoes “hadn’t been found”. I told her that’s ridiculous as we left them under the seat! If they “weren’t found” they were obviously ****** by Thrifty car cleaners as they couldn’t have vanished!! Do Thrifty staff feel entitled to ***** whatever clients leave behind accidentally in their hired cars? This is unacceptable, as was Cassandra’s apathetic attitude & lack of concern. She said she did ask the manager to call me but that hasn’t happened either
