Shocking service by Thrifty during accident
I was in an accident on 14July 2018 with a bakkie rental ordered on 14 July 2018. At about 13:20, travelling from Cape Town to Somerset West on the N2, an individual driving a Toyota Avanza apparently came to a complete stop to prevent hitting birds. The car immediatly behind him hit him on the right rear bumper and the car followimg swerved to the left. I also hit the breaks and swerved to the left but hit the car infront of me on the left rear passenger door. I immediatly started thrify depicted emergency procedure as stated on their contract. I phoned ALL call centres connected to thrifty to get guidance on towing and assistance but could not get hold of any of them. I eventually got hold of reservations who attempted to assist but had no idea what they were doing. I even spoke to SANi fleet rental based on window sticker in thrifty car who also said they cannot connect with thrifty. I eventually got hold of them 45mins later, being stranded alongside the N2. No one at emergency or reservation call centre anwered beforehand. Eventually, between 15:30/16:00 a flat bed arrived with no replacement vehicle!! Shocking assistance, you cannot call it service because there was none!!
