Rather pay more

A negative experience on all fronts. Took about an hour to rent the car out, when there was only one other client in line in front of us. Both me and a friend rented a car from them, it's been over a month and neither of us have gotten our deposit back (mine was R9,000 as I used a debit card).

Take my advice and pay a little extra for a company that won't ***** you around. The amount of time I've wasted chasing these guys has cost me far far more.

The first few people I spoke to at Thrifty said you would take the excess from my deposit and return the rest. Now you've changed tack and are trying to claim from the third party insurance that went into the car I rented while still holding my full deposit. This may take ages and yet you still think its fair to hold my full deposit, even though the maximum excess is R3,000?

I called in today because apparently I can get the R6,000 back while we wait for your claim from the third party to come through. I was told I would be called back later today, which (not surprisingly) didn't happen. Aside from this poor service I can't believe I have to chase you to get my money back. Do you just sit there and hope your clients forget about their deposits?
