Poor condition of rental

Hired a 1 tonner bakkie for the weekend to move furniture from Thrifty Sandton. At first it refused to start so had to kick start all the time. Then it leaked oil all over the place and messed the paving, picture attached. Upon noticing this I called Thrifty and they informed they will dispatch another bakkie in 15 minutes. Bakkie arrives 2 hours later and was a MP 200, so much smaller that we could not use. Not impressed with the quality of their vehicles as their workshop should ensure that there are no oil leaks and batterries are all charged or renewed if old. This is a clear indication of a shoddy operation, not cool. And Thrifty says sorry, Manager says nothing they can do, tough!

Hi Burton
We are sorry to hear about your experience with Thrifty Sandton. We have lodged your complaint and informed the workshop so that this does not happen again.

Thanks, but if you want to improve the service you deliver and your company's reputation, you should firslty respond much sooner than 24 days since the complaint has been logged, a day or 2 would be much more impressive. Secondly, if you guys really care, you should call the client to discuss in person, like i did initially to submit the complaint. Nevertheless, you guys have tons to learn about service and I will definitely not use Thrifty Car rental again!
