My lost phone

I had such a nightmare experience. I rented a car and returned it on Sunday 01 May 2022. My flight was departing @ 05h55. I was actually in a hurry because I could not afford to miss my flight. Unfortunately, during that hectic moment, I forgot my cell phone in the car. When I arrived home, I then called the office to highlight to them to quickly check my phone. It was around 10h00 when I made the call. The sad part is that I just received a call now, the 04/05/2022 at @approximately 16h25 that they could not find my phone. The guy who called me said, I should have taken care of my things because their policy clearly says I should have checked the car before I left. Can I intentionally forget my phone in the car? All I'm saying is that some of the Thrifty Car Hire staff are *******. It is unprofessional and would advise other people not to hire a car from that company.
