Less than 2 hours worth of driving the CAR broke down in the middle of the road

I hired a van (Nissan NP200) from Thrifty on 13th November 2018 from their Lanseria Airport branch which I took in the late afternoon and drove straight home. The next morning as I was 30 minutes into driving the engine just cutoff dead in the middle of a busy fast paced and refused to start again.

At around 9am I decided to call the 24 Hour Emergency(SA) which no one picked up after 2 tries. Only managed to get hold of someone after calling the reservations number and after being bounced around 2 or 3 times I was told that someone will call me back in a few minutes. I waited for 15 minutes before I called again and at around 9:20am and I was told that a driver from the Randburg branch has been sent out and will arrive at my location in +-18 minutes.

The driver only arrived at 11am and this is after I kept calling their offices, I was even given the driver's manager's (Chris) number who after 1 phone call of querying where the driver was started ignoring my calls.

I could only imagine if this happened to me while driving on the high way, maybe I wouldn't even been here to tell this tail.

To cut the long story short, DO NOT hire a car from Thrifty, rather pay more for a better service and a reliable car.
