Dollar Thrifty - incompetant & shocking customer service

I would like to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Dollar Thrifty. I paid a R6000 deposit and only R2962 was returned to me. I inquired with the King Shaka branch around the balance of the funds and I was told they cannot see anything on their side and the deposit should have been returned to me. They could not advise why only R2962 was returned to me. The consultant ended up telling me that I need to take it up with head office. A total disregard for customer service that I am advised to investigate myself why only R2962 was returned to me from the R6000 deposit.This is absolutely shocking! I escalated this to customer care and their service is none the better. The response i received was "Please be advised that the bank has confirmed that the deposit is no longer pending, ref for the call Rx ********** 1666, should you require further assistance kindly contact your bank directly" There has been absolutely no attempt to comprehend the nature of my query instead I am sent a generic response, that does not even make sense or answer my query, just for the sake of replying and "resolving" the query on Dollar Thrifty's side. Where in this response am i advised on the balance of the deposit that is due to me? The reference number is ********** and my email address is **********
