Bad service and vehicles

The vehicle I collected from ORT:-

1. The vehicle was not roadworthy – the previous driver of the vehicle had damaged the suspension/shock absorber mounting on the passenger front side. This meant that there was a noise coming from the tyre mounting as well as the balancing and alignment being off and drifting to the right as well as the steering wheel being off centre while trying to drive straight;

2. Prolonged wait for replacement vehicle without compensation – I managed to make my way to the Sandton branch to have the vehicle replaced. I waited approximately 3.5 hours for a replacement vehicle (which was the same make and model as the original vehicle).

Not only was my life in danger with an un-road worthy vehicle but I was inconvenienced without a vehicle this afternoon which meant moving meetings around. Even though procedures might have been followed and the vehicle replaced with the exact same make and model, but I am extremely dissatisfied with the service as a repeat customer to Thrifty. No compensation or apology was ever given for the trouble and inconvenience caused by your disinterested staff.

I will not be returning to Thrifty going forward and I will encouraging my family, friends and colleagues to avoid using Thrifty going forward.
