BEWARE: RED FLAG SATELLITE TV INSTALLERS

Beware of the following TV repair and installation company,DK Sky Setup Signal, which also uses the names Celtechs, Galaxy and Sky Tech DSTV Installers who operate in the Pretoria East area. I contacted them on 3 Dec 2025 after my TV reception continuosly failed. Nicholas and Wayne (Real names?) appeared at our house in a retirement estate after charging us R350 for their call out. They replaced the LNB and about 12m RF cable without indicating the specifications and costs of the installed components or providing me any visual inspection of the LNB. It was only the next day that I could execute a visual inspection that I discovered that the replacement LNB was a pretty standard version with market prices approxiamately R1000. They spent about two hours with us and then produced an invoice which they received from somewherr on a laptop for an amount of R13,986. I only later discovered that the invoice was dated 01 Sep 2025 and contained non-sensical technical descriptions of the LNB with double entries. When I attemted to make a normal EFT payment they insisted that I should make a "geo payment" which is not standard practice for professional service providers. When the amount was questioned the technicians left in a hurry. No paper work was delivered, as promised, for gaurantee and isurance purposes. I eventually managed to contact Martin, the so called manager of the setup(Tel: ***), who agreed to re-imburse me with 50% of the payment made. I was repeatedly assured in writing that the refund would be processed. Despite several reassurances and no payment, communications have broken down. These experiences have been deeply upsetting, particularly because it involves elderly people and misleading bussiness practices. The following telephone numbers were applicable: ***, ***, ***, *** Names uused: Martin, Nicholas, Wayne Photos of the technicians in their car and registration and make of the car are available.
