Unwarranted delays on payout for paid-up RA due to ill-health

My claim for payout of an already paid-up RA - *** - due to ill-health since 15 July 2020 is truly getting annoying. This should have been concluded at the end of the last month and still is going on and on and on.

Nonetheless, I don't have time to be placing phone calls consistently wherein I'm being told that the Claims Assessor / Administrator is still making a decision on the matter which realistically takes less than 2 minutes and payments need to enacted.

These undue delays are demanding formal complaints with the Ombudsman for Long Term Insurance and/or FSCA. I'd like to avoid this but if the situation demands it, so be it.

I trust this matter will receive the due attention it deserves at this stage.

It is now the 1 Dec 2020 and I have yet to receive my noted and legally due payout against my RA due to ill-health. There is no legal reason for this delay!

This matter was 'escalated' to to Team Leader Pren Arunachellam whom since the 26 Nov 2020 has indicated that the assessors are affording it a priority. Well, the problem at play here since the 12 July 2020 is that any further requirements needed would be processed in 2 weeks (7 to 10 business days) but here I am closing on 6 months now and Discovery insists on delaying a simple payout.

This is beyond shocking and is grossly ******* and I shudder to think whom else is experiencing these delays. Do the job and get this payout dealt with already!

Well, I've appealed the issue directly with Discovery Invest without so much as a response so far. Thus the matter has now been referred to the Pension Funds Adjudicator - KN/***. It comes as no surprise from Discovery as a whole, your reputation of bad faith practice with clients precedes you!
