UNINFORMED STAFF

I proactively completed documentation for my monies to be paid back to me as I have already made the investment paid up AND PAID EARLY EXIT FEES as I am turning 55 on 22 Jan 2018. I get feedback that the claim had been rejected as I am not yet at retirement age and I should resubmit only on 22 Jan 2017. BEE is costing Millions to investment companies and is going to cost you even more due to untrained staff.

Good day Marius,

Thank you for proactively submitting your withdraw request.

A SARS tax directive is required when withdrawing funds from a Retirement Plan, and a requirement for the directive is that the client is older than 55 years old.

Due to this reason, our payments team would have declined your withdraw request, with the knowledge that had they submitted it, SARS would have declined the directive and withdraw request.

Kindly resubmit your documentation after the 22 of January 2018 for processing, and we will ensure it is processed timeously.

Kind regards,

Discovery Invest
