Obstructive Discovery Invest

I have a client who has been medically boarded due to ill health and desperately would need to utilise the funds he has invested under Discovery Invest for monthly income. Although the Discovery Investment is called a 'flexible plan' there is nothing flexible about it, in that the client cannot draw monthly from it. The client has put in an application to transfer the funds to a truly flexible investment under Ninety One, so that he can draw a monthly income from his money in order to live and Discovery Invest simply won't transfer the funds - they simply do not respond to the request from Ninety One or from his broker and are being unduly obstructive and jeopardising the client's very existence. Beware of putting your money where it isn't flexible or available and where the company who has your money doesn't respond to your signed instructions about your own money!
