No access to your own money!!!

My fiance had an retirement fund and paid every month. She lost her job. There is a lot of money laying in this fund, today she called after being unemployed for 3 years to ask to have the money paid out. They advice her sorry you have to wait until you are 55. Really by the time she is 55 and do not get work all the money that is there will be lost and she will maybe get R50 out. Discovery takes there fees every Month which makes that money less an less. I feel she should have never invested any money with discovery as they are not even willing to help. It is her hard earned money and she paid her monthly dues. Now when she is in need. And I mean really in need she can not access her own money. In today climate in South Africa she might never find work again. And that money will be gone. Be careful to invest your money. Discovery will rather your starve of hunger to help someone in need. Proudly south Africa!!!
