Discovery Invest REFUSING to payout RA for Emigration in Process

<p>My husband and I started the emigratyion process months ago, expecting to have a few hicoughs along the way, but Discovery have been an absolute nightmare! </p> <p>As a resident in SA still, all that was required was my forms, proof of address, proof of banking,proof of application to SARS for emigration clearances. We used the new online Tax Clearance submission and forwarded the acknowledgment from SARSs</p> <p>All documents were submitted in April and May. I called in to Discovery and was told they had received all documentation and my payout would be done within 5 days, in May.</p> <p>When i didnt receive my funds I called back at the end of may and was told they were waiting for a "Form C" from Sars, which would mean my funds would only be paid out in 21 days. </p> <p>I received an email in June asking for my residential address in the UK and my tax clearance certificate (these are requirements for people who have already left the country and are living in another country) I explained I am still a resident in South Africa and sent through my proof of address as requested. </p> <p>3 days later I still had not heard back from Discovery, I called in and was told none of my documents had been received and I resent again. </p> <p>Yesterday I was told "an emigration specialist" would deal with my case and get back to me.</p> <p>Today I was told again, they cant process my application without my proof of address in the new country, which I cannot provide because I STILL LIVE IN SOUTH AFRICA!!</p> <p> </p> <p>My husband's documentation was submitted to Liberty at the same time and his RA, 10x more than mine, is already in process of payments. This is purely Discovery wasting people's time and holding onto money they are not entitled to!</p> <p> </p> <p>Emigration is an incrdibly stressful process and the last thing we need are additional headaches and incompetences by a company over an amount less than R 20 000!</p>
