Discovery Invest refuses to process withdrawals
I have an investment plan with DI, which I am currently withdrawing from. Discovery Invest, since my application of withdrawal was filed, has come back to me stating that I am not the person who app**** for the Investment and that I will need to supply them with a correctly signed form (my signatures are different) and certified documents. I requested, from the person who sent the requirements email to me, to provide me with proof that I am not the person who signed the documents. I have not received a reply, Discovery Invest denies receiving any correspondence, and their call center agents are pathetic with client relations - the agent basically refused to help me and in return mentioned that Discovery Invest will not help me unless I submit my forms as per their request. I have signed many documents with Discovery, and all my documents have a different signature. Furthermore, Discovery Invest's finance department are not trained in Forensic Science to properly decipher a real signature from a ********** one. I will be handing this matter over to the Ombudsman, and using social media to discredit your name because of some of your employees incompetence.
Your investment with Discovery is one that is heavily legislated. Thus in terms of government legislation, Discovery Invest may not initiate a withdrawal or payment if the signature on the withdrawal form differs from that which we have on record.
I'm sure you can understand that this is to protect clients such as yourself where someone could **********ly request a withdrawal of your funds. It would be terribly irresponsible of Discovery Invest not to ensure that the payment we are making is going to the correct person.
You are quite correct that our payments team are not trained in forensic science, and I can confirm that the various signature samples are receiving analysis by the correct department. In the interim it is quite clear to anyone not trained in forensics to see that the signatures we have on file for you are completely different.
I have emailed you the information we require in order to verify your withdrawal and to ensure that we are paying the funds to the correct person. I'm sure that since this is you, you will have no problem sending the required signature specimens to us.
