Disappointed at Retirement Advice that lead to Financial lossess due to incompetence

<p>I made first contact with Discovery on 24 February 2017 to highlight the frustration I've experience since I migrated my Life, Disability, dread disease Covers, Income Protector and Retirement Annuity since October 2016.</p> <p>Discovery Financial Advisor suggested that I switch my 6 year Liberty RA and she promised R100 000 boaster to the funds which Discovery was offering in December. I was sold at that despite Discovery premiums being higher than their competitors. She suggested that I open a new Retirement funds with Discovery; stop contributing to Liberty (she would have it paid up) and switched before December into the newly opened fund.</p> <p>Needless to say the liberty fund hasn't been switched to date; only when I asked her in January how the fund was performing, it was only then that she sent me SECTION 14 document to sign (17 January 2017). And she only confirmed 12.5% boaster - not the R100 000 she promised the year before. In my correspondence with Bongani Dlamini on 09th March, the booster that would have got me to R100 000 ended on 31 January 2017 - something their financial advisor seemed to not know because on the 17th she had already disqualified me from this offering she promised.</p> <p>Discovery had almost a months to resolve this mess since 24th February and they have been very poor in their correspondence, certainly zero level of urgency. For a brand that promises so much, it has proven to all be **** misleading marketing ploy to lure new customers with promises that don't deliver and *********** employees that do not know their products. I would urge anyone considering any Discovery products to rather consider the alternative brands because my experience has been proven that they don't take their customers seriously. Worse considering that they sell high commodity financial products with so much accountability.</p> <p>Discovery brand has come across as a fly by night financial advisor with offerings that don't deliver. Their incompetence has affected my Liberty fund into losses and to date there is no concrete correspondence to solution.</p> <p> </p>
