Spoke to a consultant last week who said I will get feedback yesterday but yeah I got no feedback as yet, sent a follow up yesterday and never got a response. What happened to assessors and companies living up to their promises

27 Jun 2025, 08:58I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with how Discovery Provident Fund has handled my provident fund withdrawal.
Initially, the amount on the system reflected R7,000. Last week, I was informed that a tax directive had been requested. After this, the amount suddenly dropped from R7,000 to R4,900 — with no explanation given.
Then, when I followed up again yesterday for feedback, I was told that the payment was made, but I only received R1,600 in my bank account.
I have tried to get clarity on what’s going on, but I am not getting any proper response or breakdown of the deductions. How does an amount go from R7,000 to R4,900 and now to just R1,600 received — without a single person explaining the deductions or providing a payslip/tax certificate to support this?
I am tired of being sent in circles. This is my money, and I deserve a full breakdown of:
