Discovery it's a ****

Am back again extremely disappointed with Discovery Retirement Funds. My provident fund statement dated 12 November 2025 clearly shows a closing balance of R8,566.07, yet Discovery only paid me R2,194.46. My statement has all the details, about my fund and charges from 1st of April 2021 till 12 November 2025 on. Instead, they paid me far less with no explanation, no tax breakdown, and no IT3A certificate. This is unacceptable.

What makes the situation even worse is that Discovery only responds fast when a person goes onto social media. The moment you post publicly, they suddenly act like they want to help. But when you deal with them directly, they do not give clear answers. This behaviour is suspicious and unprofessional.

Right now, this whole experience feels like a ****, because the payout does not match the statement and Discovery has not provided any transparency. I want a full breakdown of how they calculated the R2,194.46, and confirmation of any remaining amount still preserved.

People work hard for their money. Discovery must fix this urgently. Am willing to escalate this feather for someone planning to take any plan with discovery go to LinkedIn see how people are mad and this should be a sign.
