Vitality Travel Benefits are Useless without Discovery Bank Card
I'll hand it to Discovery, they're opportunistic. A bunch of snakes, but opportunistic. With the collapse of Comair and the Kulula booking platform, Discovery now forces you to sign up for their credit card to have access to the full benefits of your Vitality travel rewards (with travel insurance) which you would have otherwise had if Comair was still around.
This is a pathetic and manipulative way to treat customers, especially those who have been with the company for 10+ years. I truly struggle to find the words to describe how infuriated I am by these... snakes.

I am so sorry you feel this way.
Our partnership with vitality travel ended when Comair got liquidated.
The Vitality Travel platform was originally a benefit reserved for Bank clients only and for this reason we have introduced our zero fee account to accommodate our long standing clients
We would still love to have you with us, please look into opening our Zero fee account which is and entry level account that does not required much admin.
Regards,
Palehelo

I have already opened the zero-fees account in order to access the Vitality portal.
And that's all good and well that you have introduced the zero-fee account to accommodate long-standing customers. However, consider this, what about travel insurance? The zero-fees account doesn't have this built-in, does it?
Here is a suggestion/demand, whatever to want to call it. Either make the zero-fees account have built-in travel insurance or allow your long-standing customers to use their non-Discovery credit card so that we can activate the associated built-in travel insurance with that credit provider.
But you won't do that because at the end of the day, no matter how much PR you spew at your customers, it is the means to your end which is increasing uptake of Discovery credit card holders which conveniently you can force with the liquidation of partner Comair.
I completely understand that the Comair liquidation is a complication and is unfortunate, to say the least. But you must acknowledge that Discover is manipulating its customers by force. And by force, that means customers incurring additional costs to reclaim benefits that were available to us not three months ago.
Food for thought.
