Unfair credit assessment

My credit card application was declined, even though I submitted every single document they asked for including a security report from the SAPS. My affordability and credit records are fine, so what more do I need? It makes you think if these credit assessments are equal for every single south African or not?

Hi Steven

I have contacted the credit team and they have advised that the credit application was declined due to Wonga abandoned debt and recently acquired debt. We need a paid up letter for Wonga showing proof if it has been paid off.

If you would like further information about the application you can contact us directly on ***and we will be able to put you through directly to our credit team to assist you further. We are open 24/7.

Thank you,
Yuvna

Our credit team has advised that there is no email you can send it to, you need to upload all relevant documents on the banking app as the application is still with you. They have also advised that once you have acquired recent debt you need to wait at least 3 months before applying again.

For further information  you need to contact us directly on our toll free number ***and we will put you through directly to our credit team to assist you further as they deal with all credit applications. We are open 24/7.

Have a good day further.

Thank you,
Yuvna
