Unfair and Discriminatory Practices

I feel compelled to raise a serious concern about the bank's policies. I recently discovered, to my dismay, that Discovery Bank classifies individuals from certain locations as high-risk, regardless of their financial behavior. This system, where location becomes the basis for financial cutoffs and investigations, is deeply troubling. Why are you using a Bantustan-style approach to restrict financial access based purely on where someone lives? It's 2025, not the 1980s.

Financial risk should be assessed based on individual behavior, not arbitrary ZIP codes or geographical boundaries. This policy mirrors the discriminatory apartheid-era practices that segregated people based on their place of residence. It’s disheartening to see such a regressive system still in place today.

How do you justify this approach? I would be interested to see the data on which demographic groups are disproportionately affected by this system.

No one has reached out to assist me, and the service desk has been completely ineffective. Every time I call, I get the same scripted responses from each consultant, telling me to call back the next day. It’s been over 72 working hours as promised, and my funds are still locked. With month-end approaching, I’ve made multiple calls, but I haven’t received any help. They continuously say they’ll call me the following day, but no one ever does. What is going on at Discovery Bank?
