Underhanded tactics to keep people in debt

I have a discovery credit card. At the time of taking it, it sounded like a win win. But the benefits are not worth the debt one gets into to get them. But that's not my problem at the moment. My problem is I called last week Wednesday to ask for a settlement amount and to close the card. To this day, a week later the card is still active. And only when I called again did they say, i needed to complete a credit card closure form, they are buying time to charge me again and keep me in debt as much as they can. BE AWARE people before you get into contract with Discovery. And what's funny is I never signed anything whrn they offered me the card, my "Yes" was good enough. Now my word is nit good enough, i have to find a scanner and send them back the form. What about their clients in the bundus (where I am gor the holidays now) ? So do they think everyone has a scanner? And what's worse, one can't even go into an FNB branch to close the damn card. So if you agree yo the **** discovery card, you might find yourself stuck with them and owing thrm for life like the sharks they are. I am very disgusted by the way they run this whole credit card business. I want out that's that.
