UNBELIAVABLE STUPIDITY
My wife has been trying to open a bank account with Discovery(not a credit card) She must have tried 5 or 6 times Every time she goes on to the app it comes to a screen where they want 3 bank statements showing monthly salary. She is retired so does not receive a salary. So she phones the call centre and explains . She is then told to delete the app and they will sort out so that the 3 banks statments are not asked for They last time was on the 31 August 22 where the lady assured her that she must delete the app and reloaded on Friday and there would not be a problem LO AND BEHOLD she reinstalled Sunday and guess whatt ???? the same question comes up !!! if Discovery spend more money on their systems then on adverting maybe it would be easier to pen an account What a WASTE of time !!!!!

If you're applying for a Discovery Bank Credit card, it will request Bank statements and payslips from you however since she's retired she can upload statements from her monthly investments or whichever source of income document she has.
Since you advised that she's not applying for a credit card and just a Transaction account, it should not request bank statements from her.
Please advise if she attempted to apply for a credit card at first and we can take it from there.
