Unauthorized Debits & ******* excuses!

<p>Having cancelled my account with discovery card two months back, I was informed that the link between my FNB cheque account and discovery card would also be terminated and there wouldn't be any more debits going off. Well to my surprise, two months later and there is a surprise for me first thing in the morning. An unauthorized debit. </p> <p> </p> <p>So I call FNB and they inform me that the debit was made by discovery. I get transfered from pillar to post and having my calls dropped when I ask questions to get a better understanding. I eventually hang up the phone seeing as though my own bank (which is supposed to be keeping my hard earned money safe) can not help. When I eventually get through to the Discovery card department after having 4 calls dropped and waiting 45min to get through to an agent. I get informed that THEY (DISCOVERY CARD) can not assist me because THEY (DISCOVERY CARD) can not find the cancelation form on my profile and I would be held liable for the card fee's even though I had cancelled with THEM (DISCOVERY CARD) and reassured that there wouldn't be anymore debits.</p> <p> </p> <p>Now my question is. How many other people is DISCOVERY CARD defaulting and taking their hard earned cash whilst spinning a line of BS that they can't do anything for you and you would be liable for their error? If ever you're looking to get a credit card, i adivse you TO NOT GET A CREDIT CARD FROM DISCOVERY CARD!!!! They are only too quick to sign you up for a card and not require you to fill in any forms when doing the application telephonically. But when it comes to you closing your account with them, they take months on end while taking your money and telling you runish stories!</p>
