Unauthorized Debit Order

They debited an amount of R1564.31 for a bank account that I never asked for. I called them in 2019 asking for the account to be closed as I did not apply for a cheque account with them, only a credit card. The cheque account has been accumulating charges since and when I spoke to the consultant in 2019, I got told the account will not have a negative impact on credit card, only to be debited R1564.31 on the 25 October 2023 for the same cheque account I never asked for, let alone make use of. Upon querying this, I got told I'm liable for the charged as I had "utilized" the account. The only transactions were those where I had accidentally paid my Discovery Miles into this account after converting them to cash and nothing else (The converted Miles were meant for my Credit Card). The account has now been closed which is great, but it would be much better if my money were to be refunded.
