Unauthorised credit check

I enquired about a bank account eith discovery bank, thry called snd explained about. The bank accounts and monthly fees. I told them i will think about it because i am not happy with the fees. I told them i wanted to use it for transactions and their transaction fees are high. They went and did a credit check on me without my consent and futher **** to experian that i was applying for a credit card. I would never do that, i already have a credit card and i dont even owe any money from it. I want them to remove their enquiry because tjey were trying to **** me.

Kindly confirm on how did you enquire about a Bank account with us. Did you fill in your contact details on our Bank website and request for someone to call you, or was it through another way?

It was via your Facebook page there was a pop up , remove that enquiry don’t mess up my life by doing things not authorised to do. My contact is *** call me and rectify this and I am willing to take it even further than this. And I will warn other people about this

Both, on pop up i left my details then a discovery representative called. Even after i realised that an enquiry was made, they denied. Noe discovery told Experian said i app**** for credit card. Show me where i app**** for the credit card. Show me

Its not a soft ping, its a hard enquiry, and i entered contact details only nothing more. I will be happy to report this further, its complete *****. Nothing on the forms saod you would do credit check. Now uou have messed up my credit score and all you can say os dorry for the inconvenience? I still have a screenshot, and why did Discovery lie to experian to say i app**** for creditcard?ehy did you not say the truth?the same informationyou giving me could have been told to experian. Meaning theres no proof to say i apploed for credit or any call that says i gave consent. This needs to be fixed

Credit check by entering cellphone number, thats not true, it means the company is taking advantage of poor south Africans
