Total lack of financial professionalism

I app**** for a Discovery credit card between 3 and 4 weeks ago. An operator was very helpful in signing me up, but that's where the service stopped. Since then, I have received 4 calls from a courier company to confirm my delivery address. Despite giving it as being in Johannesburg, they keep looking for me in Port Elizabeth.

I have tried to contact the Discovery offices by phone, but end up in what resembles a reality quizz show. As a result, I sent an e-mail to them in a final attempt to resolve the delivery of the card. If that can not be achieved, I rather cancel the card application. I have demanded a telephone call from a competent person. So far, I have received an automated e-mail inviting me to call them, an invitation I will decline as it leads nowhere.

They offer no level of service commensurate with a professional financial institution.

My ref no is ********** 544.

J. Delannoie

Reviewer Update

Nothing has changed. I receive the same calls from the courier company as before, trying to confirm my address on PE, when I live in Johannesburg.

Ross, to srettle this matter, call me, so we give it 1 more try, or cancel altogether.

If my bank were this ***********, I would have changed in a hurry.

Dreadful customer service. Dreadful.
