Still awaiting info where a payment went into
As an existing customer I called them to ask for a confirmation of the bank account details, belonging to a public account, of another entity, for which I had made a payment into. You see, the proof of payment from Discovery Bank does not show that information. I called on Tuesday to ask for written confirmation of the same, I was promised I’d get the confirmation which I could then pass on to the other creditor, in order for them to can locate the payment on their end. I am surprised it hae taken this long for Discovery Bank to attend to such a simple request, surely they have the information readily available. Puzzling situation

11 Apr 2025, 16:45Hi Kenneth,
Thank you for your patience while I investigated this for you.
Our Payments Operations team has advised that they are unable to provide the account number for a Public beneficiary. In such cases, the Proof of Payment (POP) will not display the account number.
I hope this helps clarify any confusion.
Kind Regards,
Onthatile

17 Apr 2025, 13:25Hi Kenneth,
Alternatively, Vodacom may be able to locate the payment in their accounts using the transaction details on the proof of payment you provided.
I’ve also reached out to our payments team to check whether they can assist with a letter to support your proof of payment query. I’ll share feedback as soon as I receive it.
Kind regards,
Onthatile

23 Apr 2025, 16:18Good day Kenneth,
Thank you for your patience whilst I was enquiring about your letter request.
Our Payments Operations team has advised that they are unable to provide a formal letter regarding the feedback on your proof of payment query.
As an alternative, they recommend that you may submit your account statement directly to Vodacom, ensuring the payment made into their public beneficiary account is clearly highlighted.
Kind Regards,
Onthatile
